I have favourite folders set up in Outlook mail. The favourites incldue
folders from a number of different PST files. Sometimes the folders in
Favoutite Folders and My Calendars, My Tasks and My Contacts appear in the
wrong screen, e.g. a tasks folder will appear in Favourite Folders on the
mail screen and won't appear in the My Tasks list. More often folders from
the mail screen will appear in the my calendar or my tasks lists If I click
on one of these folders the content displays correctly, e.g. if tasks appear
in My Calendars then clicking on it will show tasks. Occassionally the
folder not on;y appears in the wrong list but the icon showing against that
folder in the folders list also changes, e.g. recently the tasks archive file
had the mail folder icon against it.
This seems to be related to syncing with my windows mobile devide. This
originally happened with an IPAQ 6915 windows mobile 5.0 devide and it still
happening with an HTC Touch Pro Windows Mobile 6.5 device. Normally
re-booting my system fixes the problem unless the file has become associated
with the wrong icon as described above when I had to delete the folder and
re-create it. However when fixed with a re-boot the problem recurs as I
navigate between the outlook screens. I have 'repaired' office from the CD
and and this hasn't resolved the problem.
What is wrong?
