Outlook file too large

My outlook closed and when I tried to reopen it I get a
message that the file is too large and asks me to delete
some files to decrease the size. It is slightly over 2 GB.

Unfortunately I can't open Outlook to delete files.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
