Outlook fill in password (Exchange is in a other domain)

M

Marco

We are logging into our workstations into a different domain than the
Exhange server is in. So every time we start Outlook, it wants the password
for the domain account the Exchange server is on. The Authentication in the
advanced tab doesn't matter.
Please help

I think this is normal, expected, behavior.

I also think this normal behavior, but is there a way that you have to fill
in your password only once, the next time you login on your computer Windows
2000)
and start Outlook automattacily signed in.

Not that I'm aware of, although I confess I've never looked into it very
thoroughly. Is this really a problem? Sounds like a minor inconvenience to
me, and it's far better from a security standpoint anyway. Since you
apparently don't have a domain trust in place, there's no way for your
credentials to pass through...I'd just leave it be if it were me.

It is not really a problem for me, but my 500 colleagues experience this as
very
unpleasant.
There are a few users that have to sign in only once, if they restarting
there computer and start Outlook they automatically log on
Maybe it is a registry key ?
