Thank you for the posting. As you indicated you have an e-mail box that
has subfolders that have the unread numbers next to them but when you go
into the folders themselves, there are no messages int there, unread or
read.
Based on your desription, it is possible that there is some corruption in
the .pst or in the profile. Regarding this issue, you can try the
following two commands to see if this can clear the issue.
outlook /cleanpst
This is to launche Outlook with a clean pst.
outlook/cleanprofile
This is to remove and recreates default registry keys.
