Outlook font sizes changing on sent mail

Hi
We're having a problem were occasionally fonts will just randomly
change on sent messages. I've been researching this online for an
hour or so and there seems to be a few other people that have seen it,
but without an answer.

The issue is that you'll write an email, and once it's sent the font's
just randomly change size (from 10pt to 12 pt and back). The issue
seems to happen more after bold text (ie, if you get a bold word then
the font is more likely to increase).

We're using outlook 2003 (all latest updates) and SBS2003 with all
latest updates.
The emails are written in HTML without word as the editor. Stationary
is set to <none>. Signatures are off - they're added by Exclaimer
later.
This has only just started in the last six months or so, some previous
posts have suggested it occurs only after installing IE7.

I'd be very grateful for any ideas

I've checked all these and they're correctly (all to 10 point).
However the issue isn't that they are consistently the wrong size,
rather it randomly jumps from sentence to sentence. I've found this
post which appears to clear it up.

I'm currently changing everyone to RTF in the hope that will help
