Outlook fonts when reply/forward

I have this problem on a couple of client computers, both are Dell
D600 laptops. The font size is normal when creating a message,
however, when they reply to or forward a message, the font shrinks to
unreadable size. I have checked the settings in Outlook and Word, and
the fonts are all set at Arial 12pt. I have even changed these to
different fonts with no effect. The only thing that seems to correct
this problem is to uncheck Word as the text editor, which defeats the
purpose of having a text editor. But when not using Word, the fonts
are fine in all messages. I have seen several other postings with the
same problem, however, I have yet to see a fix that actually works.
And yes, I even did a search on TechNet with no results. Does anyone
have a fix for this problem, other than switching back to Lotus
Notes....(LOL) Gotta keep your sense of humor, right?

We are having the same issue on a Dell Desktop unit. In troubleshooting the
issue I found the Outlook 2003 e-mail font was not being modified but the
"Zoom" % was being changed to 50% or less when replying thus making the
readability of the e-mail impossible.

I can manually change the viewing % but have not yet determined what is
causing the viewing % to change or how to fix this permanentely.

The problem seems to be related to the fact that Word is the email editor. If
Word is not the email editor this is no longer an issue.

In the past adjusting the zoom from within a Reply has fixed it. For
customer today that did not work. Replies keep defaulting back to 49% when
Word is the email editor.
