outlook forms for CRM management

Do I need an exchange server to use forms in Outlook? We
have a stand along version of Outlook at our company. I am
interested in developing customized forms in outlook to do
CRM for our sales force.

No, definately not, you can customize forms on your own
computer, even others. When it comes to sharing forms and
Outlook folders, then you might have some problems without
exchange.
