A good amount of users in my department are currently having an issue getting
Outlook to launch after the Exchange Server has been patched and rebooted.
Typically, our workaround is to close Communicator 2005, Mapisp32.exe, and
Outlook via Task Manager and open Outlook first, then open Communicator 2005.
After doing this procedure, the users no longer have any problems. I used
Process Monitor to trace the steps of where it stops/hangs and after Outlook
goes to the key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Exchange Provider it does
not do any further steps and just hangs.
Can anyone provide any suggestions that I can try?
