Outlook freezes now after importing lots of messages from express!

I recently decided to change from outlook express to outlook and so i used
the export feature on express. I left the computer going for a few hours
since i have thousands of e-mails and it ended up freezing. Now when I open
outlook and try to do anything like get new mail it freezes and i have to end
program. Any help would be appreciated.

Tried scanning your pst-file for errors already with scanpst.exe?
