I have recently installed the Outlook Add-in from Project Server 2007 to
Outlook 2007. Using the automatic process specified in Tools - Options -
Project Web Access I have found Tasks import OK as long as Outlook is not in
use at the time. If the client user is in the process of writing an email at
the moment the automatic import starts then Outlook freezes up. Task Manager
showed it using 98% Processor. I waited 15 minutes but it couldn't clear
itself so force closed and restarted Outlook. Other Apps running on the PC
were OK. Needless to say the email being written was lost. Nothing had
happended with the Tasks either. I have repeated this fault 3 times on 2
different client PCs. We have SP1 installed for Project Server and Office.
This is a major showstopper for our EPM implementation as we obiously do not
want Outlook being negatively impacted. Has anyone else experienced this and
know a solution. Thanks.
