Outlook freezes when epoagent updates viruscan

Here is what i know about the problem we are having. We are using
computers with O/S win2000. On those computers we have the office 2000
standard suite installed. These computers have McAfee Viruscan version
4.5.1 SP1 installed and EpoAgent version 2.5.1. Each thursday the
program updates itself automatically (this is done after hours). So at
the time of the update the user computers are logged off. When the
users log on the next morning on their computers (obviously this
happends only to a limited number of users) their outlook program does
not open and stays frozon on the outlook main box (the one that says
outlook 2000 with the users name and serial number and so on). We also
found out that the little shield icon at the bottom right of the
screen does not respond.

We tried several things to fix the problem, first we tried
uninstalling the epoagent on the client computer and resending it, we
tried uninstalling the actual viruscan program from the computer and
reinstalling it. We checked the event viewer but did not see anything
suspicious but we did see when the actual update took place and that
it worked out successfully. When we stop the nai agent orchestrator
service we find that mcafee's icon at the bottom right corner of the
taskbar does repond but if we try to open outlook at that point it
crashes and gives out a outlook.exe error message.

Thanks for everyones help.
