Outlook Hanging and Print Spooler problems

E

Emilie

I have noticed that Outlook started taking a very long time to open, and
access emails. I am not sure what is causing this. I also noticed that when
I closed my computer (i have a desktop), it normally enters standby. Instead
what happens now is i get an error saying "The service "Print Spooler" is
preventing the machine from entering standby. Try stopping this service and
try again".

How do I stop my Print Spooler? I wasn't aware that I started the print
spooler up. Could this be causing my huge delays in Outlook? My laptop is
brand new running Office 2003.

When was the last time that you actually restarted your laptop? Do things
still not work correctly after you have done a restart?
