I have a client who accesses an exchange mailbox via VPN. Occasionally
outlook says down in the bottom right corner that it is disconnected. If
outlook then attempts a send/receive the status hangs at 50% and won't budge.
The rest of outlook is fully functional - i.e. the application has not hung.
If I right click the status (in right hand bottom corner) and tell it to
cancel the send/receive, it does and returns to being "disconnected". I can
then perform a manual send/receive and most times it connects properly and
begins the send/receive, but is extremely slow (i.e. status progresses 2%
every couple of seconds).
A restart usually does not fix the problem and it eventually comes right on
its own. Any suggestions?
