I've been experiencing more frequent issues over the past few weeks of
Outlook (2007) hanging or stopping entirely. When that happens, the entire
system seems to bog down completely. Even trying to use Task Manager to
override the problem has no result. The only fix is to do a hard stop on my
PC and reboot, which obviously isn't good for either the machine or the other
programs which are running. I run registry correction software at least once
a week, along with other cleanup chores to keep the hard drive running as
smoothly as possible. My PC is a small form business HP model with a dual
hard drive. Having used Outlook (and before that, Outlook Express) for more
than ten years, obviously my archive is loaded with tens of thousands of
e-mails, a volume of data which may be at least a partial cause. What can I
do to correct this issue?
