Outlook hangs Terminal server

HI

i have installed OfficeXP on a Windows2000 terminal server
in application mode.
All applications run perfectly except for Outlook which
frequently slows down dramatically or even completely
hangs.
any ideas on what may cause this when Word, Excel etc run
with no problems at all
