Outlook Hangs when going to inbox

I have a client that has a problem with their outlook 2003
Using Outlook 2003 with all fixes applied etc... running on WinXP Pro.
They had a problem a while back on their Hard Drive. I had to reformat and
reinstall WinXP, Office etc...
They had a problem with Outlook before the crash but only intermittently but
now when they open Outlook and click on items in the Inbox, Outlook hangs. I
have to use the Task Manager to close the program.

I ran scanpst and it said there were some problems and fixed them. Outlook
still hangs. When I run scanpst the second time, it tells me there's no
errors in the file.
I also performed a Detect and Repair.
I can click on any folder and go through the any message and have no
problem. Just when I click on messages in the inbox does Outlook hang.

I've searched these newsgroups, support.microsoft as well as Google and
can't find anything that helps.

Can anyone suggest what I can do next?

Thanks

Joe
I'm not sure at this time where I should go next.
