The users I support have problems with Outlook 2003 SP2. When replying or
forwarding emails, "Starting MS Word as email editor..." starts and hangs.
You have to kill Outlook in Task Manager for the message to go away. It seems
to happen to users who have a lot of folders in their Inbox. When there are
no opened Office docs. opened at the same time when they try to reply or
forward emails, the problem is not as severe. I know I can make users to not
use MS Word as email editor, but they prefer to use it. When I uncheck it,
the error disappears.
This is what I have done so far:-
-Uninstalled and reinstalled Office.
-Updated Office.
-Re-imaged workstation.
-Ran virus scan.
Is there a workaround to this problem?
