Outlook: How Disable Dial-Out?

I recently upgraded from dial-up to DSL Internet service, and am able to
successfully send and receive email with Outlook 2003 (Windows XP
Professional) using “Outlook Connector for MSN†– provided that only one
account is chosen from the Send/Receive pull-down menu. If, however, the
“All Accounts†Group is chosen, then Outlook attempts to active the dial-up
connection (i.e., dial out).

How can I disable Outlook from using the dial-up connection?

(Note that the Internet Explorer “Never dial a connection†setting within
the Tools > Internet Options > Connections page is active.)

In Outlook, go to Tools, Accts, change your acct, More Settings, connection,
select use LAN for connections.

I have a related problem with Outlook 2000 SP-3. I have a LAN connection and
a dial up connection that is used when I travel. When I was traveling
recently and attemtped to send emails via the dial up connection it kept
using the setting for my LAN (home based) connection. The default settings
were shown as dial up. Now when I am back home connected to the LAN, all of
the settings have been corrected to comply with the LAN connection; the
default now shows LAN, and now when sending emails it is trying to use the
dial up connection. GRRRRR!

You'll have to provide at least some information.
Mail account type.
Mail account connection type setting.
Which version of Outlook 2000 you are running.
