Outlook if appointment created before current time of day no remin

In Outlook 2003 if you have the appointment reminders feature turned on, the
reminder will display on saving the appointment EVEN when then appointment
occurs in the past. In prior versions of Outlook, the reminder would only
display if the appointment was scheduled to occur in the future.

This is a problem only when you key the appointment description directly
into the calendar. (If you create a new appointment item, obviously you can
turn 'off' the appointment reminder option, but that option is not available
when entering items quickly into the calendar.)

For individuals who use Outlook to track how they actually spent their day
(a common time-management practice), it is very annoying to have appointment
reminders appear. For example if it is now 11AM, and you're updating your
calendar for 10AM, no reminder should appear, however if you're adding an
appointment for this afternoon, say at 12PM, then when 12PM arrives the
reminder should appear.

Please restore the prior functionality of only saving the appoitnment with
the reminder flag turned on if the appointment is to occur in the future.
