Sender of HTML emails is running XP and using Outlook, build 11. Recipients
using Outlook, build 10, 11, etc. and set to received HTML emails. Everyone
is using Outlook, not Outlook Express.
When the sender imbeds a picture in his HTML email, it shows up as an
embedded picture and also as several attachments. The attached pictures are
the same picture but of two different sizes. They are named AT000xx.jpg, etc
whereas the original imbedded picture’s name was IMG_xxxx.
Other weird things: The received number of attachments is one less than the
number of recipients, e.g. email is sent to 5 recipients; everyone gets 4
attachments. The received email does not have the paper clip icon denoting
an attachment even though there are attachments.
It has been determined the problem is with the sender (multiple attachments
show up when sending to a g-mail account and using a browser for reading the
email).
No Outlook setting can be found that governs this weirdness.
Any ideas as to what is going on and how to fix the problem?
