outlook import address book assistance needed

I am trying to import my address form outlook express.
Outlook is set as the default, also the address book is
set up. My emails are still going to outlk express also.
I had a corrupted profile from a virus, I think, but this
has been fixed after many hrs on the phone for pd tech
support. After re installing Office XP, and setting up
Outlook as my email account, I still have trouble.
The main thing I notice is the install box is flashing
everytime I go to a new window. I am afraid my install
program is corrupted also. I know this is straying off
the subject but it is all related I think.
