Outlook in Office 11 Issues

Scott Fasser

Hi,

I recently installed the Office 11 beta including the new
Outlook and Business Contact Manager. I had issues and un-
installed then reinstalled office XP home.

I now have a problem in the PST files have been morphed
in some way and I can't export or import data via
Outlook. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a
place I can go within Microsoft for help with this?

thank you

Thanks Diane. I installed OL2003 and it used my previous
Outlook PST which I think it updated to the new format.
When I went back to OLXP, that's when the problems
started.

I'll try your idea - thanks

did you use the same pst you used with OL2002? if so, they didn't morph. if
you created new PSTs, they use the new Unicode format and are not compatible
with older versions of outlook. you'll need to open them in ol2003 and move
the data to a ol97/2002 compatible pst.

it's not supposed to update old psts to the new version, they don't even
have a conversion tool.
