outlook inbox

Hi
I have outlook 2000, I would like to know what is the file extion for the
inbox ( .pst - for personal folder mails. and that is stored as on file
under C:\DOCUMENTDATA\USERID\LOCALSETTINGS\APPLICATION
DATA\MICROSOFT\OUTLOOK\XXX.PST) Where is the inbox mails stored on the hard
drive.

The default name is outlook.pst, but a user can create 'anyname'.pst.
The default location is as you stated, but a user can opt to store the pst
file at any location on the hard disk.
The *.pst file contains all outlook data, and pst is the extention
In its default location the *.pst file is a hidden file
