for some reason outlook 03 has suddenly took it upon itself to delete mail
from certain domains. ive cleared the blocked domain list.. added the
senders to the safe sender, domain and recipients lists. ive removed any
rules where the delete option is specified, I have the *no auto filter*
option flagged and have unflagged the *perm delete suspected spam* option
and stilll the mail gets deleted..

anyone tell me where the hell i am going wrong?

Are you sure Outlook is deleting them or are they maybe being blocked by the
server.
Do they appear in Deleted Items or in Junk Mail?

Did you check the view in Outlook to make sure you are not hiding some
mails (i.e., they aren't deleted but just hidden)?

it is an outlook issue.. other email apps download the emails without a
problem.

If you don't have a user-defined rule (or a rule used by an option, like
Junk filter), maybe your message store is corrupted. Try creating a new
profile (use the Mail applet in Control Panel) to create a new profile
and use that one when loading Outlook, recreate the e-mail accounts, and
see what happens then.

You may want to reconsider the quote (intro line) that you use when post
replies to newsgroups. You asked for help and yet apparently you want
to insult everyone that tries to help you (notice the "failed to engage
the brain" insult in your quote line at the start of the body of your
reply posts). This will be my last reply to you until you decide that
you really want help and reconfigure Xnews to stop using abusive quote
lines. No, I'm not easily offended but I figure you are the one that
needs to be taught a lesson in netiquette. Bye bye. Solve it yourself.

Do you have any scanning apps like antivirus or non-Outlook antispam?

its not an av/anti-spam issue.. as i said in my previous posts, other email
apps download emails from the affected email addys without a problem.

already tried this option. unfortunately the affected email addys still
get deleted.

Whose brain is not engaged?

You're obviously clueless if you think the behavior of any other application
has a bearing on Outlook's behavior. What other mail applications do is not
germane and whether or not they behave correctly doesn't affect Outlook's
behavior. I thought you were interested in finding out what's wrong.
Obviously not. Go away, troll.

I never said they did.. what I DID say was that it is NOT a AV/Anti-spam
issue. if it were, then no other email apps would be able to download these
emails from my mail server as the 3rd party AV/anti-spam rules would also
be valid and apply..

to clarify.. email hits mail server (my own mail server)> email av scanned>
email spam checked> email clean and sits happily on server. I know this
because I can see it.

now if i use OE, thunderbird, opera etc then affected addys download
without a problem. HOWEVER, if i use outlook (my prefered client) the
problematic email addys are download fine, but then perm deleted by outlook
which ATPIT has NO email/junk rules set at all.

Now as the mail AV and anti-spam software are mail server based and not
installed the on the pc, please expailn to me how the hell this is a third
party av/anti-spam issue?
I thought you were interested in finding out what's wrong.

This is a genuine problem that has me stumped, so therefore I thought id
ask for HELP in the correct place. I did not come here to be called
clueless or a troll </snigger> by someone deluded enough to think OE is a
newsreader!!

A case of pot and kettle methinks!

And that is a wrong conclusion.
