Outlook is not allowing me to delete emails

I have Outlook 2000. I just installed Panda Antivirus software. It found some viruses and deleted them. I get an error message now when I try to delete emails. It reads you do not have appropriate permmission to perform this operation.

Please help.

Clear the Deleted Items Folder
Open the message, edit it (insert a space) and save and close the message.
Try to delete it now with SHIFT+DELETE
In addition you can run scanpst.exe to scan your pst-file for errors.
