Outlook Journal doesn't record Microsoft Office application files

In spite of following Help instructions, Journal will not record my Excel,
Word or Access files, even with the "record other files" boxes checked.

Are your versions of Outlook and the other Office applications compatible
(i.e. are they all from Office 2003)?

No--I didn't expect that to be an issue. Excel and Word are both 2003, but
Access is '97, so I wouldn't be surprised if that were incompatible. Is
there something I can do? It seems very odd that Outlook wouldn't recognize
files just because they are an earlier (slightly) version!

Hmm...well, I *think* that the Journal should be recording your Word and
Excel activities since they're the same version, but I don't think it will
work with your old Access version. Let me look around and see if I can find
a way for you to kickstart your Journal.

Jocelyn--I mistyped when I said that Excel and Word were 2003. They are
2002. That is probably the issue. Do you think there is still a chance to
get it to work?

No, I don't think there is any workaround for that...sorry.

Well, thank you very much for your assistance anyway. I'm further along than
I was.
