I have been using the Outlook Journal to record documents such as Word,
Excel and so on. I’ve been using the feature with my billing. Then I learned
that for Outlook 2007, the feature is disabled for documents opened from a
network, or a mapped network drive letter, or even from a local drive if you
open it by using a UNC path (such as \\mycomputer]share). Outlook will not
record the document at all. ( Ouch! That really messed me up!)
Please, someone tell my why this was done. The feature is effectively
useless for anyone that uses networks.
Surely there must be a fix for this?
Thanks,
