In Outlook 2007, the Journal accurately captures my e-mail activity but often
misses my activities with several Word and Excel files even though I've
checked that option. Specifically, the Journal leaves out almost all entries
for files that are opened from a network drive (but captures info for files
from local drives). Since My Documents is redirected to a network drive in my
office, this means the vast majority of the files I work on are not captured
in the Journal. I often rely on the Journal entries when filling in a time
sheet, so I'd like to see which documents I worked on during a particular
day.
Is this a limitation of the software or a technical issue?
