Recently installed Outlook 2007 on my new Vista Machine. Exported 2007 .pst
file from old (XP, Outlook 2007) system and restored on new. Though all inbox
type message are okay and all contact information came across I have two
issues with the Journal Folder. Issue 1 is that any message that was stored
in the old system when clicked upon is failing to load, I recieve an error
that the path associated with the email isn't valid (Though I can understand
this message to a certain extent, this would mean that any switch in OS or
user account path configuration would make the restoration of data in the
journal impossible?).
The second issue is that new emails that I moved from the inbox to the
journal do not have the standard envelope icon associated with them. Instead
they have the white square with the windows multipane icon.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix these issues? I am removing
Office and re-installing, but would like to know if there are other
possibilities before making that decision
