(Using Outlook 2007. I don't think this happened in previous versions... but
I could be wrong.):
After Outlook does an automatic or manual AutoArchive, it keeps the
archive.pst loaded forever (even inbetween restarts) unless you manually
remove it. Aside from cluttering your folder list, this has the very very
very unfortunate side effect of causing Vista's Backup utility (mine is set
to daily) to always assume that the archive has been updated even though the
last AutoArchive was weeks ago. This is a rather big problem. Is there any
way to tell Outlook to "let go" of the archive.pst once it is done?
