Hello,
I have a strange problem with Outlook 2007. Everytime I add or edit a
telephone number in Contacts Outlook will crash. I can add any other items
like address, company name, email address etc. with no problems. OS is Vista
Home Premium w/SP1. Offfice 2007 is updated to SP1 and all important updates
for Vista and Office are installed. Machine is clean of Spyware or anything
that would disrupt file system. Event Viewer shows the following:

Source: Application error
Event ID: 1000

Faulting application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 12.0.6300.5000, time stamp
0x4760725d, faulting module TAPI32.DLL, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp
0x4549bdd1, exception code 0xc000001d, fault offset 0x0001deda, process id
0x3470, application start time 0x01c8c34e252bd2df.

Running Vista in Safe Mode resolves this issue.
Removing startup items and services excluding Microsoft services using
msconfig does not.
Performing a repair install does not.
Running Office Diagnostics reports no problems.
Running scanpst.exe does not resolve issue.
Disabling Add-Ins does not.
Performing an uninstall and reinstall does not.
Recreating a profile does not.

I have the exact same problem on a PC here at work, have you found a
solution? My Outlook that is casuign the problem is not SP1, I was
hoping SP1 would fix the problem but after reading yoru post I doubt
it will.

I have same problem running Outlook 2002 with MS Office XP Pro. The system
also crashes if I attempt to go to the customize menu. I've tried similar
"fixes" as indicated above, but also with no success.

I have the same problem except I have OS XP and dont know if operating in the
safe mode would solve it. Also have the problem if I go to tools and open the
custom button.
