Following a new hard drive the old Outlook pst files were backed up and
re-installed. There were two profiles one with two email address, one BT and
one hotmail and another profile with six made up of 4 BT, 1 yahoo and 1
hotmail.
Profile one with the two accounts downloaded a send receive automatically on
opening and just got the new emails having successfully downloaded all the
emails from the server when setting up the account. profile two downloaded
all the emails successfully on set up but on re-opening did not do an
automatic send receive and no matter how long you waited would not do one.
Once I clicked on it it did start but proceeded to download the entire
content of the server once again. This repeated everytime the profile was
opened and a send receive attempted.
Profile two has the exact same set up on another computer which is working
without a problem and only downloading emails that have not been "read". We
have tried uninstalling the program and trying again but the exact same thing
happens.
All computers are XP Home - ISP BT Broadband - Product Office Outlook
Professional edition 2003. I would appreciate some help please.
