Outlook keeps prompting for password

H

HOKIE

Just bought new computer with XP. Installed Office 200 and
was setting up my account in Outlook. Entered POP3 info,
filled in user name and password, and checked
the 'Remember Password' box. I sent myself an Email to
check operation. The message went out OK, but never
received. Hit the 'Send/Receive' button and I was prompted
for my password. When I entered pasword I received the
test email. I have to to do this everytime to receive
emails. I have rechecked my account settings and checked
the 'remember password' box, but it does not remember it.

I went to Outlook Express, and enetered the exact same
info, and everything works fine.

Currently, Express is my default (because it works). Any
resolution to this and how do I set Outlook back to my
default??

Thanks
