Outlook keeps timing me out when receiving lrg files. How to stop?

What version of Outlook are you using? How large are the files?

Ben, Its 2002 and anything over 2-3mb times me out. I can switch to Express
and have no problems or any other mail service. Thanks for reply..

What if you go into the properties of the POP3 service (Tools | E-mail Accounts
| View or Change... if I recall correctly) and increase the server timeout
values. Probably on the connection tab.

This is weird setup. Express has the option to let you increase minutes, but
2002 Outlook does not. Even checked FAQ;s and they said same thing you told
me, but no way to change Outlook so far.
Think I will try to contact Microsoft and ask them "What the Hey".

Just thought I would let you know solved problem. Read in troubleshooting
answer that Symatic Anti-Virus has been causing some problems in this area. I
uninstalled it installed new agent and program works good now. Thanks for
your assistance and good surfing..
