Outlook killing internet connection

daniel

I am currently using Outlook 2003 and all of a sudden, when I open Outlook,
it kills my internet connection. I have to shut everything down and reboot my
modem. This resores access to the internet, but as soon as I open Outlook
again, bam, I no longer have internet connection. This can go on forever. Any
ideas as to what is causing this? By the way, I can open excel or word and
have no problems.

look at the email acct settings (tools, accounts, then more settings) - do
you have outlook set to use a specific connection and its not the open one?
