Outlook launched from other program

I have a case where the Outlook send e-mail dialog is launched from a third
party application. In this case, my addin toolbar does not appear. Is
there any way to hook up a toolbar for this case?

Is this the Send To function? You don't usually get a NewInspector event
when that function is used, at least not reliably or with most versions of
Outlook. So there's no way for your addin to know to init the toolbar. Most
of us have given up on that.

I'm not sure how the other application does it. Is there some way to tell?

It's most likely a MAPI Send To. You could use Spy++ or some other tool like
that to track all the Windows messages if you really wanted to see, or you
could look at the source code if it's available.
