Can somebody explain the difference (advantages & disadvantages)

- Outlook Live
- Live Desktop Mail
- Pop3 accounts

I am POP3 paid subscriber of Yahoo. If I cancel that what advantages I am
going to get if I switch to Outlook Live or Live Desktop mail.

If Outlook live like a Outlook 2003 exchange server Web Access....

Thanks

The main difference between a HTTP account or a POP3 account is that a HTTP
account stores everything serverside (mail, contacts, calendar, etc...) and
creates an off-line copy to work with when you are not connected. POP3
downloads everything client side so you cannot access your mailbox when you
are away from your own computer.

Outlook Live uses Microsoft Office Outlook as a mail client. Live Desktop
Mail uses an evolution of Outlook Express (improved interface and adds RSS
support). LDM doesn't have support for a Calendar though which can be found
in Microsoft Office Outlook. For some more info about the difference between
Outlook and OE see;

Currently LDM is in BETA (and free) and Outlook is a released and supported
product.

If you need to know more... ;-)

I have had a hotmail account for over a decade and I started using the premium service so I can get my POP3 mail sent there as well. I then SWITCHED to Windows Live Mail Beat- It seems like the POP3 functionality is gone? and when I switch back it is there? Am I missing something? I am wondering if you could tell me if Windows Live Mail- has POP3 - I downloaded the desktop version- whcih does have it- but it does not seem to SYNC the POP3 messages it downloads with my Windows Live Mail Beta? I appreciate your help in this matter.
