I recently installed Office 2007 and when I was setting up Outlook I entered
work email information hoping that Outlook would find my exchange server
settings much like my personal blackberry does.
Now when Outlook opens, it tries to connect to the exchange server but
cannot and therefore will not open. Is there any way to fix this? I have
tried uninstalling, deleting all outlook files I can find and then
reinstalling.
I'm running Windows 7. The error messages are as follows:
"The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be
online or connected to complete this action."
I click ok and get an option window for exchange server settings (which I
don't have and my company won't give). I click cancel and I get:
"Cannot open your default email folders. The file
C:\Users\Nick\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is not an offline
folder file."
I click ok and outlook exits.
