Outlook locks up when going message to message

When using outlook express it locks up on me. I visualize one message in sent
or inbox and I can't go message to mesage to look at another messages
content. I tried archieving almost all my messages, but this didn't help.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
