Outlook Locks Up

Hello,
I posted this yesterday, however so far no responses.
Here is the situation. Office XP Professional installed with SP3.
Outlook 2002. In any mailbox folder when a message with an
attachment is selected the program locks up. If I try to send a message with
an
attachment the program locks up This occurs whether I am using
using Microsoft Word as the E-Mail editor or not. Plain text,. rich text
or HTML. In either case I receive a messag that the program fails to
respond.

Will a new profile cure the problems?

Diane Poremsky [MVP]

I don't know. :) But it's a good first troubleshooting step. OL2002 supports
multiple profiles, so you can create another one and see if it works. if it
doesn't help, you can delete it and use the original one.

Any additional thoughts as to why this may be happening. Possibly
an explanation.
