outlook locks

Everytime I open Outlook XP Pro it completely locks. Have
to "end task."

There's an piece of incoming mail in my inbox... I assume
that that's the reason. But I don't have a clue how to
fix it. Ideas?

Do you have the preview pane open? The mail is probably
really big and it will take a while for it to open hence
the locking up. Turn off the preview pane and then delete
the incoming message.
