Outlook Mail gone after reinstalling XP

I installed XP and Outlook 2000, copied in my old Outlook.pst and everything was fine. I could read all my old emais, my contacts were there and everything.

Later I re-installed XP and Outlook 2000. My Outlook.pst file was still there, but when I open it, the only mail is the welcome email. However the size of Outlook.pst is 142,272 Kb, so it looks as if all my email is still in there, but I cannot view it

Can anybody help me get my emails back?

You probably started of with a clean pst-file. You can connect to the old
one by File-> Open-> Personal Data File...
