Outlook Making Multi-Day Events of Birthdays, Anniversaries

Hi,

My Outlook XP is making multi-day events of all the birthdays and
anniversaries I have noted in my contacts. It doesn't appear to do this
with appointments per se, even if they are an all day event.

As well, even if I manually fix them by re-entering the birthdate into the
contact info for instance, eventually it will stretch them over two days
again.

Any ideas?
