Outlook management

I know we can manage Outlook, via a GPO, with the Office XP ad
template.

But is there a way to deploy the parameters needed to add the defaul
Active Directory LDAP address book to each outlook client on m
network

You wouldn't use the group policy editor for that at all. Microsoft uses text files with a .prf extension and a highly structured format to provide information to OUtlook that enables Outlook to create or modify a mail profile. You can create such .prf files with the Custom Installation Wizard or Custom Maintenance Wizard tools in the Office Resource Kit. We tried this approche, but have not been able to intergrate thi
soultuon into a logon script.

The tests we did, either did not affect the current outlook profile,
or erased the current settings and left us only the LDAP settings.

If you want further assistance on this issue from this forum, you'll need to post at least the relevant parts of your .prf file and explain exactly what steps you used.
