Problem Description: I had microsoft 2003 professional then upgraded to
office standard 2007. I always have to re-install outllook and don't
understand why. Now in the past 2 days I have been frustratingly stuggling
through as major issue where I cannot get outlook to run. I have
re-installed both of my office products and outlook continues to give me this
error:

MaP132.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version please re-install outlook.

When I try to reinstall from the office standard 2007 the outlook program
has a red X on the area where I would select outlook.

Rename this DLL and run Office Diagnostics. That should correct it.

Click the X and change it to "Run from My Computer".

Hi Brian or other Outlook gurus,

I had the same MAP132.DLL error when installing Outlook 2007 (Professional)
after having 2003 (Sm Business Upgrade) on my computer and was able to rename
and run Office diagnostics successfully. However when it came to the second
step of clicking the red X (when I go into my Add/Remove program options in
Control Panel), I can't click on the red X next to Outlook 2007 to "run from
my computer". I also read that I cannot have two versions of Outlook. Tried
to remove MS Offfice 2003 small business edition, but it's still in my
Programs list. When I try to remove again I get an error message that it
can't find a "patch".

It's MAPI32.DLL (an "I" [eye], not a one).

The Windows Installer folder is broken. Use the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/) to remove Office 2003 and
then install Office 2007.
