Outlook - MAPI unable to load the info service mspst.dll

My outlook express quit working. I couldn't fix it so installed Outlook. When
I opened Outlook, it says "default MAPI store could not be opened." I opened
Outlook Express and tried to export the inbox to Outlook. The message came up
saying, "MAPI was unable to load the info service. Be sure the service is
correctly installed and configured." Sounds like I have a problem with the
MAPI store. I don't know how to repair the problem. Can you offer advice?

Go to C:\Windows\System32 and double click on Fixmapi.exe after that you
might see just a screen flashing it wont give any message or any thing after
that reboot the computer and try again.

Thank you for the reply. I tried what you suggested and it didn't work. The
3K Fixmapi.exe file just blinked the monitor screen. I rebooted the PC and
the problem still exists. Can you help further?
