Outlook Message and Item Previewer

I cannot open an attached item (Outlook e-mail). When I try, the following
error message is presented:

"This file cannot be previewed because of an error in the following previewer:
Microsoft Outlook Message and Item Previewer
To open this file in its own program, double click it"

However, when I attempt to double click, nothing happens. Help would be
appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem - after the Office SP1 update. I ran office
diagnostics from outlook help, and it said there were no problems.

What gives?

All over this news group which would have been apparent with a little time spent searching.

Turn off Google Desktop Search indexing Outlook files or simply uninstall the program.
