Outlook message font size

Hi, I'm working in Outlook 2000. The font size for messages is set to 12. But
as I am typing my message in the message section it looks much smaller. If I
change the font size to a much larger size such as 16 I can view fine but the
person recieving the message is getting it very large. What setting am I
missing. I go into tools, options and set it in the mail formatting tab. Any
suggestions.

If you are using word as your e-mail editor, I would guess that the zoom of
the view is reduced.
