Outlook Message Format

I am using Outlook 2002. I send all my messages in HTML format. However
when I wish to reply to a plain text message I have received, I must manually
change the message from plain text to HTML. Is there a way to set the
default so that all replies are automatically formated as HTML?

Only by use of an addin or some VBA.
Note that it is not good etiquette to "upgrade" the message format during a
conversation unless you have technical reasons to do so (like for instance
to insert a table)
