This was a problem with Outlook 2003 on XPPro/SP2... when I recently had
to wipe and reinstall my system clean, I upgraded to Outlook 2007 and
still have the same problem: it refuses to remember views, window
dimensions, and Favorite Folders.
It usually only happens after it locks up and I have to kill it (which
happens far too often to begin with), but even sometimes after a clean
shutdown, when I start it back up, it will have "forgotten" how I had
the window sized and revert to some "default" size; it will forget which
mail accounts I had expanded or collapsed and randomly expand or
collapse different ones; and under both Contacts and Calendars, it will
forget which ones (of the MANY I somehow end up with) I've removed from
the "My Contacts" and "My Calendars" areas.
I've given up re-organizing that, because I know within a week all my
changes will be undone again.
Most frustrating thing is that O2K7 is STILL doing it on a clean XP install.
WTF is going on??
